Check out Caroline's inspiring Bad Lemons Blog! We appreciate Caroline's investment in educating others by sharing her journey - as a runner, a BRCA2 gene carrier & her prophylactic bilateral mastectomy.
In this Blog, Caroline gives a shout out to our HuggerPRIMA as the Mastectomy Bra in her Mastectomy Survival Kit.
Mastectomy Survival Kit
When I was packing for the hospital and getting ready for my bilateral mastectomy, I really didn't know exactly what to pack. I got some suggestions here and there from people, but there were some things that weren't recommended that I definitely wish I had. Luckily, you won't have the same issue, because below is the official Bad Lemons Mastectomy Survival Kit!

Caroline at Bad Lemons also rated the HuggerPRIMA as one of the three bras she'd recommend for post-op workouts. Such good company to keep!
Post-op Sports Bras
Today, I'd like to discuss with you something very important—jagonga holders, AKA, bras. Not just any bras, post-mastectomy sports bras. When I was preparing to workout again after my surgery, my plastic surgeon told me what I needed to look for in a sports bra and after some trial and error I found my top 3 sports bras for working out post-op. Here are my recommendations:
Prairiewear: This bra is not only for great compression post surgery, but also for working out! This bra is a little longer on your torso, so I really love it for lifting or cycling! It comes in different sizes and also comes with an extender, so if you want it a little more loose right after your surgery you can put your extender in and when you get back to working out you can take the extender out. Happy shopping! If you have any questions about any of the bras or anything, DM me or comment below!
